About Ron Paul

Ron Paul (born August 20, 1935) is a 10th-term Congressman, obstetrician, and a 2008 presidential candidate from the U.S. state of Texas, seeking the nomination of the Republican Party.

Ron Paul advocates a limited role for the federal government, low taxes, free markets, a non-interventionist foreign policy, and a return to monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. Paul has never voted to raise taxes or congressional pay, and refuses to participate in the congressional pension system. He has consistently voted against the USA PATRIOT Act, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, and the Iraq War.

Ron Paul has attracted a large amount of support, which continues to grow! (See the recent GOP Presidential straw poll results from around the country).

Supporting Ron Paul

There are several things you can do to help out Ron Paul:

Vote for Ron Paul

Important: In the state of Oklahoma you must be registered as a republican to vote for Ron Paul. You must register by January 11 to vote in the February 5, 2008 primaries.

If you need to register to vote OR change your party registration, then fill out the voter registration form. Be sure to mail it easily to avoid any problems.

If you think you might be unable to vote (busy work schedule, out of town, or any reason), you should fill out an absentee ballot. Remember, any valid voter for any reason may fill out an absentee ballot - even if you just don't want to drive to the polls on election day!

You can read more about registering to vote in Oklahoma by checking out the Oklahoma Election Board's voter registration webpage.

Remember Oklahoma's Presidential primary is February 5, 2008!

Donating to Ron Paul's Campaign

Besides votes, Ron Paul needs money to run his campaign, so please donate if you can. The federal limit is $2,300 for an individual and $4,600 for couples, but even $20 will help!

If you cannot donate money, don't worry, there are other things you can do.
